W9 Contract

Uploading W9 and Utilizing Element Tools in Vintory Contract Tool

Upload a W9 form into the Vintory Contract Tool and utilize the different element tools available to complete the various fields. 

 

W9 Template may already be available in your account but if not, please follow the instructions below.

Steps:

  1. Upload W9 Form:
    1. Navigate to Payments in the menu pane.
    2. And then to Documents and Contracts.
    3. Then go to Templates.
    4. Head over to the right side and of the screen and click the New button and select Upload a PDF.
    5. Find the saved W9 file on your computer and confirm upload.
  2. Name the title of your template by clicking the File Name (the name of the file saved on your computer is the name that will auto populate) located at the top middle part of your template and replace it with your desired template title.
  3. Click the ( + ) Add Element button at the left side of your screen, select and drag Text Field (in blue) to the W9 Form. You can also select and drag Checkboxes in the W9 Form. 
    1. Place a Text Field per section to be completed by the owner. You can shorten or lengthen the Text Field by pointing the arrow at the lower left hand corner of the text field and then move the  mouse from  left to right or the other way arround.
    2. Place Check Boxes to the section to be completed by the owner

  4. Under Properties per Text Field complete 
    1. To be filled by - if to be completed by owner leave blank. 
    2. Placeholder - update the Enter Value text with what is need. Ex: Full Name, Business Name, ect. 
    3. Required - check the box when this field is required to be completed
      1. Section 3 - leave these fields as NOT required as the owner will only need to choose one option
      2. Social Security or EIN section - leave these fields as NOT required as owner will only need to provide one or the other but not both.
      3. Anything marked as Option leave as NOT required
  5. Reviewing and Saving:
    1. Once all required fields are completed, review the entire document to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    2. Save the document in the top right corner

Once the W9 Form has been uploaded you can manually send the template as needed or add to a workflow to automate processes
