Unread vs. Read Conversations
Marking Conversations as Read

Navigate to the Conversations tab in the menu pane. You may encounter that when viewing/ tapping through messages, it is still being left as unread. You must manually mark these messages as read. Click on the Mark as Read icon in the upper-right side of the page.
You can also do Bulk Mark as Read action by checking the check boxes before the contact's name/or number, clicking dropdown arrow next to Actions and selecting Mark As Read
Mobile App
If you are using the mobile app, swipe the conversation to the left and select More, then click Mark as Read.
You can also hold your finger down on the conversation to select Mark as Read.
