A2P Registration & Takeaways
Your website must meet A2P compliance standards, and you must be approved before messages can be delivered.
Updated: April 21, 2026
Our team can provide a guide to help you review your website and prepare for A2P compliance application submission. There is no guarantee that your A2P application will be approved, and Vintory is not responsible for ensuring compliance.
What is A2P?
Application-to-Person messaging (A2P) is any kind of message traffic in which a person is receiving messages from a business rather than another individual, and which is not expected to receive a reply. A2P message includes, but is not limited to, marketing communications, appointment reminders, chatbots, notifications, and one-time passwords (OTPs) or PIN codes.
Requirements for Sending SMS Messages
If you would like to send SMS messages through our Vintory platform, your business must complete A2P registration and main website compliance requirements.
These requirements are not specific to Vintory.
These requirements are in place to comply with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and are enforced by U.S. carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) to prevent spam and ensure proper consumer consent for SMS messaging.
Due to these regulations, SMS messages cannot be sent through the Vintory platform unless a business is approved through the A2P compliance process.
Compliance requirements and regulations may change over time. Once you have achieved compliance, no further action is required unless your status changes or you become non-compliant.
