Learn how to bulk delete opportunities using a workflow

Updated: October 14, 2024

This two-step process should help you delete multiple opportunities in one go!

1. Create the workflow

  1. Navigate to Automations in your account and create a new workflow from scratch
  2. The workflow needs to be created as follows:
    1. Trigger: Contact Tag - Tag is "Remove"
    2. Action: Remove Opportunity - select the pipeline you would like to have the opportunities deleted from
    3. Action: Remove tag - tag is "Remove"
  3. Save and Publish

DO - 1

2. Tagging the contacts

  1. Navigate to Contacts and filter them by "Pipeline is" and select the desired pipeline
    1. If all the contacts, in the now filtered view, are opportunities that you would like to remove from the pipeline, you can go ahead and "Select All". Alternatively, use the checkboxes next to the contact to select them.
  2. Once selected, scroll back to the top and you'll find the menu bar.
    1. The "tag +" icon will allow you to add the "Remove" tag to those selected contacts.
    2. Tagging these contacts with "Remove" will trigger the workflow to delete all the opportunities associated with the specified contacts in the specific pipeline stage.
    3. Once the contacts move to the last stage of the workflow, the "Remove" tag that was added to the specified contacts will automatically be removed.

DO - 2

The tag added to the contacts MUST match the tag listed in the automation. The workflow will not trigger if the tags are different.
